Yetminster Community Fun Run and Hinton 10k

This has come in, a good cause

I just thought i'd send you details of an event we are holding on Sunday 28th April to see if any of your runners may be interested in participating. It is a 5 or 10k Fun Run (one lap or two) to raise money for our school swimming pool in Yetminster. Last year we saved the pool from being filled in and have refurbished it so the children at our school can use it. This year we hope to open the pool to the wider community by way of membership and offering supervised sessions, private hire and classes such as water aerobics.
 
We held this event last year and had a fantastic response with around 66 runners, and we hope for it to be much bigger and better this year. The run has a £10 entry fee but this money will be going towards the upkeep, maintenance and continued improvement of our swimming pool. In addition we will also be promoting and supporting the Piers Simon Appeal and the fantastic work the charity is doing with their 'School in a bag' scheme. To tell you a little about this- School in a Bag is a simple solution created to help poor, orphan, vulnerable and disaster affected children throughout the world. Each SchoolBag is filled with stationery equipment and resources that will enable a child to write, draw, colour, calculate, express themselves and above all learn.
