A Message from the Chairman

Hi All

Please see the following important message from the Chairman

Calling all members

The EGM, called to vote upon the proposed increase in our annual subscriptions, resulted in a £10 increase in our subscriptions. From now on new members will pay £30 (this includes a contribution of £5 towards their first vest, and the annual levy of £10 paid to England Athletics); other members will pay £25, or £15 (if they are already affiliated to England Athletics through another running club). So, the basic cost of being a member of YTRRC is just £15. Incredible value when you add up all the benefits of being a member of this club!

This increase provoked some serious debate and we all wish we had not felt it necessary. We think it is most unlikely we will need to increase it again for some years.
The clubs finances are in a healthy position. This increase should ensure that we can continue to offer all those benefits of being a member of YTRRC that we currently offer. And indeed we are always looking for new ways of using club funds for all our  - ie. YOUR – benefit.

If you have any ideas or proposals to make, please don’t hide them under the bed. Bring them out into the open! There is a meeting on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm to which everyone is welcome. This now takes place in the classroom of the St John’s ambulance buildings in Memorial Road, barely a stone’s throw away from the football ground.

Even paying £25 a year, that is less than 50p a week, amazing value!

Cheers

Terry
