Barbara Williams-Yesson reports… I completed my first ever race today. Finished the Bath half in 2 hours 34 mins. Thanks James Day for your cheer- it helped me at about 6 miles pick up my pace and you looked really quick by the way. I wore the club colours with pride and even had a tear or two it was so overwhelming near the end. Legs hurt and tired but really chuffed.

Richard Dodge says… Hazel Kim and Chrissy are about to start their grizzly adventure starting this year with the 9 mile Grizzly Cub Run . Today was the recce and all did very well in true YTRRC style with total determination. It was great to see and Hazel also had a knee problem, fingers crossed she is ok for next week. Chrissy has only been running for 8 weeks so well done all on a very hard course to run. Next year they are running the big one, up the green and whites on the grizzly experience
Good luck to all Grizzly runners next week
Bungy Williams said it was a nice run this morning from Montacute, 17 miles in the cold and the cakes are getting better, just need the Sun and heat....
Simon Baker sent Apologies for his recent absence! 5th the other say in the Green Man Ultra, 47 miles around Community Forest Path. He got lost and had a late stomach issue but overall a good first outing! He thinks he has much to learn, but sounds pretty good to me!!!...
James Day had a fantastic day at Bath Half Marathon Result: 1hr 26mins 35secs. New PB. Nice one James
I did the James Austin Half down in the New Forest, enjoyable, cold, windy race with a difficult last couple of miles. Was happy with the time, a good work out for the Grizzly next week.
