Today was the main club event of the year, the Easter Bunny sponsored by Run Breeze, there was an amazing turn out and fantastic organisation as always. Well done Mr Race Director Nick, Sophie Brooke for sorting the Marshall's, a challenging job, Pete and Phil for all the set up work and everybody else who helped.

There is one think I can say for sure, it was Blo*dy Cold, in fact it was freezing, no, it was British Spring weather, a massive well done to every marshall and those working on the finish!
A message from Nick, the Race Director
Can't thank you all enough who turned out to help. The runners loved it. Without you all they would never have had their fix. And as for me - and the other old f###s who toss and turn at night for worry (Pete, maybe, Phil? - we can sleep again) Will try and get the complete list of helpers on to the blog asap. Naming and praising and if you feel you're missing out let me know. Thanks again
Says it all, names will be here soon..

details at committee meeting
I did a new race this weekend, on Sunday, the Hinton 10km, a gentle charity 10km I thought, hardest 10km I've ever done said my daughter! Just shows that you never know, 2 laps of hills, mud, soft ground, fallen trees and more mud, loved it!! Just keep a look out for those races you have never done, you may find a little gem!
This weeks club run is Summer Route 1, yes its summer, honest, it is, its not really a frost, its the heat of the sun making everything white, and that steam out of your mouth, that's not the cold, its just we are all so hot, so be there, shorts and a light vest, or, like me, three tops, running tights, woolly hat and gloves...
And the Pub Run is from the Fortune Palace at Over Compton Pub Run with Sally
Don't forget the Track session on Friday, the Sunday Runs and those training runs....
Why do we do these runs, why do we push ourselves to the limit, why is it that Lesley is running 2 marathons, why am I trying to do more than 1, why is Andrew doing one, because we can and have the choice, some don't have the choice, for many reasons, lets remember that...
