Back in good old England

Pete at Stoke Stampede
Hi All, I’m back, its wet and its cold, it must be England. I have run on 9 different Islands in temperatures of between 27 and 32 degrees, on the road, in the rain forest and on beaches, too hot? Don’t you believe it, beats cold damp and grey any day!

Don’t forget your chance to run in the wonderful New Forest on Sunday 6th April, a marked 6 mile route that you can do once, twice of three times, 6, 12 or 18 miles. The course will be marked out and all back to mine afterwards for some cakes and refreshments. For fun, a day out and for training as well as raising awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

It will be an interesting but achievable route for everyone. I will be talking to the committee to see if we can organise a day out and some transport!

My proposed route is currently under water so watch this space.

Young Mr Marathon has been in Florida doing the Celebration Marathon, he did 3hr 05m, but was not too impressed with the results service.  Great time in Marathon 143 Paul, well done mate.

From Adam – Please help out if you can - The next Yeovil Primary Schools Cross Country Race will be at Yeovil Football Club on Thursday 30th January. Any help would be gratefully received - there were 499 children in the last event! Any time between 2.30 and 4.30pm

Thanks
Adam

From James -

Who's up for a bit of YTRRC Team Building? I know Bungy has mentioned this before but there is a new 'Festival of Running' event taking place on 10/11th May down near Plymouth.

Teams of 2, 3, 5 or 8 can be entered. I think we should get a team together and give it a crack! I mean, it's the weekend after NDVM so we're all be fit as fiddles! Oh, did I say it's also is 24hrs long ......

They also have caterers who will be feeding runners through the night. I hope they know how to cook a ginster pasty!

Thats it all, more in the week, its 'great' to be back, see you all Tuesday
