For yourselves and OTHERS!

Our Chairman sent you all the following

Greetings from Australia.

Lesley and I would like to wish all those club members running the Yeovil Half Marathon on Sunday a great run and hope they all achieve PBs.

Unfortunately I cannot be with you as I am still in Australia undertaking my grandparent duties for our first grandchild, Fergus, who eventually arrived on 5th March!

I look forward to meeting up with you again on my return. In the meantime Terry's blog has been brilliant in keeping me up to date with everyone's activities and achievements.

Best wishes

Malcolm

This weekend is the Yeovil Half, we are pushing towards 100 green and whites running, including me..

Full report next week

See you all there

A reminder from Dave Stansfield

Yeovil 5k Series will be starting two weeks today. This year will see the finish line and results managed by Full On Sport, but are still plenty of jobs that need doing.

If you are able to help please email me:

With the help of Full On Sport, we should be able to pack up and get home earlier.

An update on 666

Be there if you can, it's beautiful out there

Another trip round the beautiful 666 course, 6.6 miles the setting sun providing the backdrop across the forest and the fields of stunning heather.

Some mud is deep,
one hill is steep,
3rd time round might be a test...
But those who do will give their best.

Some will find one lap very tough
Some will fly and not feel rough
We'll all get muddy have no fear
No hard ground any where near

We will have a laugh and fun
as around the course we run,
And as we do just please don't lose sight
Of those who have a constant fight
To just sit up straight in a chair
To lift a leg or comb their hair
For them a run is just not real
They have been handed a lousy deal

as we run because we can
Spare one minute to think....

Of Arthur and Alfie and Kats young friend... As Kat said

Miles for me are nothing, for Sophia's Dream to Walk it seems like an impossible dream, please help this lovely little girl achieve her dream, nothings impossible.

But enjoy the day and have some fun, because you know that is just what they would want...
See you all at 666 for a great day, Run 666, 6.6 miles once, twice or three times on the 6th April

Meet at mine BH23 7LE between 9 and 9.30, no 102 or at Holmsley New Forest car Park at 10. Come and enjoy, walk, run or crawl once, twice or three times round the 6.6 miles. Then back to mine for refreshments
