France

I think there was trip to France this weekend, although no one has bothered to send me anything.

Well done to Jo who won a Cup for the best Fancy Dress (she did well in the Race as well).

The Club had some very loud support.

They did take part in a Race but in the meantime the Goodies crossed the road.

Clarendon Marathon

Today saw the running of the Clarendon Marathon with Paul Allen, Richard Dodge, Terry Byrne and I taking part. A great local race and very well run.

CHIP SHOP PUB RUN

Phil led from the chip shop tonight. We went over the Bunford bridge (due to close tomorrow) so it was our last chance. In the 1960's trains would go under it coming from Westland. We went through the trading estate and up over Forest hill. Some good hill training. Straight across at the top towards East Coker but turning down to the Red House. No beer stop. We slogged up the A37 to the Quicksilver mail, and dropped down Henford Hill. The final bit was the long path past the sports club and along the edge of the airfield. 6 miles followed by a pig out of fish n chips, tea, beans, and squashed peas.

Bournemouth Half

I had booked Bournemouth half some time ago – it was my first mass entry event and was looking forward to it. Weather was near perfect – well organised.  Saturday saw a 5k and a 10k – Sunday was 8am half marathon start – with full marathon away at 10am.
I did not see any other Green and whites and only me in Half marathon results –  ( Full Marathon results not in yet ? ) although pleased to say I did get quite a few shouts, scaped under 1:45 for a PB.

Parrett Relay

Everyone take note...these are the FINAL teams for the Parrett Trail. Changes to accommodate the Hayden children and a couple of let downs...Fantastically people have agreed late changes to allow us to still compete! note - there will be a prize for the fastest YTRRC team, so get running.
