The Forest of Dean Half
We would be grateful if you could promote our Spring Half Marathon to your members.
Despite being one of the least
expensive half marathons to enter, we
repeatedly get great reviews and provide a quality race in a traffic free
environment. With
entries in excess of 2500 and run entirely by volunteers we raised over
£38000 (2012) for various charities and good causes.
By
giving you a great race we can make a huge difference to others.
Please
could you add the event to your club diary, pass this Email to your
members and if possible display the attached poster.

London Marathon 2014
WRP Tours is currently busy with bookings for our 25th
consecutive tour to this event. We will again be using 5 hotels in central
London.
Recently, we have had contact from 2 local running groups –
one wishing to use our coach from Bristol and another planning to bring their
own mini bus. We can offer free parking at our main hotel for both coaches and
mini buses.
If the club or individuals within the club have been lucky
enough to gain places in the 2014 London Marathon but have yet to make their
weekend arrangements, WRP Tours would be pleased to discuss how we might meet
their/your requirements. This could be for a 1, 2 or 3 night stay.
All the hotels are experienced in the needs of our runners
and their spectators. WRP Tours add complimentary tours of the start and finish
plus marathon advice clinics taken by staff who have run the event many times
and two of them have also worked on it.
For anyone within your club seeking to achieve a fast time,
co-organiser Roland Gibbard (2h 20m) is available over the weekend for last
minute individual coaching or advice.
Race day starts with a full buffet breakfast from 05.45
followed by coach transfer to the start for all…..and then a spectator coach
service back into central London once the race has started. Post race we
automatically include shower facilities, masseurs as well as a buffet for both
runners and spectators.
We have attached a copy of our 2014 promotional flyer.
Currently, WRP Tours provide this service both to charities and to other clubs
and we would be delighted if we could be of help to any of your club members.
With best wishes,
John Joyner, Roland Gibbard, Caroline Rowlands

Dear Club
Secretary, I am writing to inform you and
your members that entries are open for the Wiltshire 10-mile road race which
takes place in Melksham on Sunday 16th February. The course is
certified as accurate and is gently undulating as it passes through the heart
of rural Wiltshire and the historic village of Lacock, it also has the
potential to produce fast times, with the current course record being 52:14 and
60:14 for Ladies.
The race is
ideally timed to fit into the training schedules of runners aiming for the Bath
Half Marathon, Virgin London Marathon or other Spring events.
More race
details including online entry are available online from the event website at Wiltshire 10
Could I
please ask that you forward this onto your club members.
Regards Darren
