Greetings all, sorry its late…
Some good news…
The Yeovilton 5km series has a local sponsor for 2014…
Details to follow this weekend
Another championship race last Sunday, the Lychett Manor 10.
After all the rubbish weather the conditions were perfect, blue sky’s, sun a
slight breeze.
This hilly 10 miler is one of the best organised races
around, and with a course record of 50 mins and 55 seconds set it shows what a
quality field was in place.
A great performance from Nick Brooke to achieve 2nd
in category, I was delighted to make my comeback after injury at this distance,
my time just 35 seconds outside my PB shows how good conditions were.

In from Captain
Lesley…
Just
done a recce for our Great Western 10k
from Leweston School on 9th March.
Yes it's wet and muddy in places, yes it's
slippery in places, but definitely runnable and enjoyable. So come on all you
YTRRC runners get your entry forms in, in advance, and save yourself £2.
If the
weather deteriorates significantly in the next 2 weeks we do have a Plan B
route. So no excuses! Also you will be helping the Sherborne Rotary Club to
raise money for local charities.
Membership…
Just a little reminder, membership is due soon, money and form to Deb Neal
please! Get it out of the way, best value you will get this year!
RUN
666 April 6th 2014
A
Day out in the New Forest, a 6 mile off-road loop, run it once, run it twice,
or go for it with Cris and Gill, and do all 3, a nice little 18 miles!
Followed
by cakes and other goodies at mine. First recce will be this weekend, follow
the blog for details. I am sure there will be some ‘damp patches’ (mud), a few
little lumps (hills) and some soft surfaces (Sand).
Come and enjoy!
A
day out in the new forest, a gentle fun run or serious training, be there, from
Holmsley in the New Forest!
There is a group on Facebook, but all the details
will be here on the blog, because we can.

weeks championship race is the Babcary Road Race details at

The Grizzly approaches, the VLM come closer, as does NDVM. Enjoy the training. Remember you only compete with one person, yourself. Remember that and always finish with a smile, you can run, some can't.
If you can afford a few quid, sponsor someone in the VLM, there are so many good causes, and support Kat in the NDVM, she is running for a great cause!
Everything else in on our fantastic web site, at this link
Have a great weekend this weekend, racing or training! More soon
