Sunday's Blog by Guy Williams

Race for Life

Well done to all the helpers and runners who took part in this years event at Sherborne. Well done to Pete who ran there from his house in Yeovil. I hope he ran back.

Cheltenham Circular Marathon

Paul Allen and I completed the above with a time of 4:03:36, this is a hard off road with some on road and some mean hills, there is a 10k, half marathon, Full and Ultra, even walkers so a good event to enter for all.
Paul (Number 151 Marathons) and I at the finish

Dartmoor Discovery

Just some news that happened a couple of weeks ago, Ian and I took part in the Dartmoor Discovery that starts in Princetown and goes out to Ashburton and then heads back to Princetown in a loop of 32 miles. There is camping, pasta, drink and a disco. Brills weekend and please have a go.

Great Western 10k

The race is organised by the Rotarians / YTRRC and the money raised goes towards their Local Charities so Pete, Mel and Lesley went to their meeting to present a Cheque for £512.00. Well done all.

Run Leaders

As always we need more Run Leaders to help out on Tuesday Club Nights, so if you can let Matt Driver know. Also why not try a Pub Run on Thursdays, we go to different Pubs each week and run a gentle 6 mile run at the slowest place and then have a meal in the Pub. You do not have to stay for the meal.

Other News

It is Glastonbury week so Matt Driver will be running the Tuesday Club Night and there is no Pub run as the Forde Abbey 10k is on. Although their website has not been updated since 2012.
As always if you want something on the Blog please email me. Might not be a blog next Sunday as at Glasto.

Next Race in the Champs is Sat 5th July 8 ml Charmouth Challenge 2.30 pm

Stay safe and run till you drop.
