The Parrot Relay

So the day finally came, after years of planning, training and route recces Matt Driver pulled off getting 5 teams for the Parrett Trail Relay. With team 9,10,11,12 and 13. With a few last minute changes and babysitting duties the Club pulled it off and all teams were full and ready at Leg 1 to start the whole thing off.

Leg 1

Leg 2

Leg 5

Leg 6

Leg 7
The finish was at the Winyards Gap Pub and slowly all the team made their way to the Pub for food and drink, sadly no prizes for us but it's the taking part and getting lost I mean misplaced that makes it a great day out.

Somewhere in Dorset or Somerset or Wiltshire

Most of the Teams
Maiden Newton runners also had a team phot:

A big thanks to Matt Driver for the organisation and can you get planning for next year?

Well done to all runners a great day out. No results yet but they should be out soon here.

2k Reps at Yeovilton

Anita and Richard went to our 5k route for some speed training and Anita and Richard found two little Kittens:

One of the most interesting 2K reps evenings at Yeovilton tonight ... I only managed one lap, at least Richard & Lenny managed two. The reason being that as we were starting the second lap Richard spotted a tiny bundle of fur on the path heading for the road .... then we found the second bundle of fur in the hedge smile emoticon No mummy to be seen frown emoticon So here are Merlin (thanks for the name Lenny) and Lynx ... had to be named after helicopters since rescued from next to the airbase wink emoticon So a trip to the vets tomorrow

Lakes in a Day
