Quite Week

Outlaw Iron Man

Post from Caroline Watts:

This is what I've been upto today, awesome achievement 'Outlaw Ironman 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle & 26.2 mile run) ..... 15hrs 15 mins, thank you to everyone for all their kind words of support and encouragement, especially Graham Alan Watts for keeping me going on the run and his cheering on the cycle ride ....... Winter running with the club gave me the backbone to finish this.

Parrett Trail

From Rob:

The Parrett Trail relay race is fast approaching, this years is to be held on Saturday 8th October, last year our club did very well, we had five teams, it would be great if we could achieve the same this year with at least one ladies, men's and mixed team!
The route follows a beautiful course along the Parrett Trail from estuary to rivers source over seven sections.
Please chat amongst your friends with a view to forming a team, volunteer to be a team captain or simply state your interest in being in a team.
More information can be found at:

Durberville Dash 10k

Parkrun News

Our Chairman turned up at the Montacute Parkrun on Saturday morning with the Olympic Torch as it is nearly 4 years to the day that it came through Yeovil.

Adam and Corinne were in Ireland:

Park Run near Ennis, west Ireland. Lovely course through woodland trails. 36 runners!!!

Argentan

Once again YTRRC will once again be taking part in the Argentan Half Marathon or if you prefer the 10.5K pairs relay
If you are interested then contact Phil Mac Quaid or Pete Jakeman with a £50 Deposit. It is hoped to keep the cost somewhere in the region of £140 which covers everything except your food on the ferry and of course booze.
Places are limited to the number of seats on the coach. The Hotel & Coach have to be confirmed and I require at least 33 confirmed bookings to go ahead. (The coach then goes free on the Ferry and we get the ferry group rate)
