A quiet week this week but before we go into that, those of you who have not PLEASE READ THE PREVIOUS POST FROM MATT. It is important, our club, one of the most successful around, revolves around the Tuesday Club Night, while you can please some of the people some of the time, you cannot please all of the people all of the time, but we really try and do our best to get as close as we can. I love the Club nights and just wish I could get there more and had a great time last week, I have great respect for Phil, Debs and Pete for the amazing job they do, but we need you to get involved! Do not leave it to the same people every week. Enough said, read Matt'e excellent post!
Now next Sunday is the Stur Half, the club Half Marathon Championship race, known as 'The Race With The Sting in The Tail'. From the entry list I can see a few members already taking up the gauntlet, including me! There is Nick, Paul, Julie, Matt, Flora and others. Lets have a great turn out, remember Lee will be doing age related results as for the 10k at Martock. Its an interesting race and I owe it one from last year. The 'Sting' is a little slope at about 12 miles. Lets have as many Green and Whites as possible, it looks like it might be a hot one, so lets go and enjoy! The web site link is below!
The Stur Half - The Race With The Sting In The Tail
Last week there were a couple of races and I did not have the results or pics.
The Blackdown Beauty, not really a race but a fun, if damp, day out over, I believe, 16 miles and a few pubs!
Well I reckon the Pub is that way!!
No food for Phil????
Water Water everywhere!
Is there far to go?
Richard is in there somewhere!!!
Last Sunday was the Tarrant Valley 10k, few less Green and Whites than usual, but a great little race, plenty of mud this year.
Clubhouse, Club Results including TV10
This weeks Pub Run, there has been a change so please note, Debs is now leading this week..
Pub run this Thursday is from the Dinnington Docks pub about a country mile from Lopen just off the 303. Recommend long socks or leggings as there's some slightly overgrown bits (unless its miraculously all been cut down). Everyone welcome whatever your pace.
