Greetings all, the Blogger Man is back….. After maintenance runs in Curacao, Aruba, Granada, Barbados,
Antigua, St. Maarten and St Lucia in beautiful hot sunshine, am back home
planning the long ones.. so, after seeing what everyone else has been up to
and how hard they are working I had to catch up…
13 miles
of cold, grey, damp conditions including a mile of loose pebbles and shingle on
long beach under Hengistbury Head on Saturday and 7 very wet cold and muddy
miles on Sunday. It must be England in February. Miles in the bank.
Sundays
are really showing how dedicated people are, Julie and David up to 17 miles,
Paul and his fast team are going well, Sally and Debbie are working hard and
keeping everyone on track, Anita is flying, half and full marathons are getting
close, London now 10 weeks away… Watch the blog for group training runs, there will be posts during the weeks as we held towards the spring marathons and the Yeovil Half...
There
are going to be good results…
Good news, Richard Gilyatt won the Dartmoor Fell Race this weekend, a great result in a tough race and Gill MacPherson had a great run in the Gwent XC League
I feel so sorry for Richard and the Inca Team, all that
work and then left with no option but to call it off, safety MUST come first.
The
route was under water, so lets look forward to the Great Western and next years
race!!

Clearly the Coach / Coach in Running Fitness
qualifications require a significantly bigger time commitment than the lower
level courses and we do have bursaries to support our club members who want to
attain these higher level qualifications. If you have ideas for anything further
that we can do to encourage a few of our many 'assistant' qualified coaches to
trade up then please shout.
