Richard and the Jurassic Coast Challenge and more

While we were all having an easy time around the Yeovil Half, Richard Gilyatt was taking part in the Jurassic Coast Challenge, a mere 85 miles on some very tough terrain.. These are the reports he sent in
Day one of jcc done and by far the hardest marathon I've ever done due to a gail force head wind and lashing rain all day. But did good not sure on times or position yet! Will post when i know but Legs feel good ready for day 2!
Day 2 of jcc done thats 54 miles so far and with diversion tomorrow is set to be around 30! Legs hurt a little but I dont and won't quit until I can't walk! Was 32nd overall yesterday not sure where in my group but I'm sure I will drop down the list today/tomorrow as the 10miles of flat tarmac really battered my legs the other 19 of boggy cliff paths was ok! Good luck to all doing the half tomorrow!
I finished the jcc today which after diversion was over 31 miles today so thats over 85 over the 3 days. I didn't think I would start today after yesterday so happy with finishing as I now have a knee 2cm wider than the other but would like to say thanks to my left leg for carrying my right through 48 miles, it owes you one! Thanks for the messages I needed them to stop me dropping out!
Richard, an amazing performance, be very proud!!

Easter Monday -- MARSHALLS PLEASE, HELPERS PLEASE, MAIN CLUB RACE OF THE YEAR

THE EASTER BUNNY AT YEOVILTON - BE THERE AND HELP, ITS YOUR CLUB!

Gillian Macpherson has sent the following, please help if you can
HELP..... Calling all those chocolate lovers. I can offer you chocolate and lots of fun. If you are marshalling or helping out at the Bunny 10K on Monday, would you be able to spare 15 mins after the adults have set off to take times/numbers for the kids.
If your not helping at the main race, maybe help at the fun run. Practice for when you help at the adult races! They just have to do 2 laps of the field, so will be over quite quickly. I also have an extra award of a YTRRC fridge magnet.... does it get any better than that..... These kids are our future and need our support.
Remember to tell all your friends about the fun run for kids....

I have just had this in... Looks interesting..., shame its in the middle of 3 in 3 (day before Stratford Marathon)

Is anyone up for taming the 'Preseli Beast' on April 27th? It's a tough 23.5 mile new circular marked off-road race with approx 4,700ft of uphill in total, over the stunning Preseli hills, North Pembrokeshire.

There's also a circular marked 10 mile off-road 'Beast Bach' for those not quite up to the task of the big one. Both races start and finish in the small village of Maenclochog, North Pembs. And both routes finish by going over the highest point in the Preselis, before returning to collect your specially printed T-shirt, goody bag, memento, soup, cake, tea/coffee, and if your quick enough in your category, a prize!! (Prizes too for 1st male and 1st female teams of three too!)

Yes, all that for the entry fee of £15(£12 for the Beast Bach). For further details, and an entry form(which I've attached in case anyone was interested!), just go the website.

Preseli Beast

Enjoy the club run tonight.

3 in 3? Am I Mad? Probably, but I have the choice and that's something not to be underestimated...

If you are marathoning and raising funds, let me know and I will publish on the blog. See you all soon.
