The time is fast approaching to book the clubs annual trip to Argentan in FRANCE for the first weekend in October
The cost should be in the region of £170
In the first instance I want to gauge the level of interest as we need 23 travellers to make the trip viable. Other half's, friends are welcome, in fact anyone as long as we can make up the numbers so that we can attract the Group rates for the ferry
Leave Yeovil at 0400 Fri 4th Oct, Breakfast on the Ferry, Race on Saturday 5th followed by a Dinner and Dance. Return on Sunday arriving at Yeovil about or before midnight
For more details see Phil MacQuaid, Debs Neal or Pete Jakeman
Next Sunday 5th May is the NORTH DORSET VILLAGES MARATHON in which many club members are taking part.
SO the Sunday long run will be from the library car park in Stalbridge. The run will backtrack parts of the course to provide encouragement to our club members taking part. We might also encourage runners from other clubs??????

The blog one year on and a dive into the archives...
The Crewkerne 10km last year.. Des it seem a year ago? Gill, a good 56.16, Cris, 43.10, impressive, Bryn 6th in 38.17 and Leyton and Anita, memories are made of this...
Another week gone, this week it was the new Crewkerne 10k, I will give you a flavour of what the Green and Whites are saying...
Anne Wilson 'Very well organised by Crewkerne running club, no surprises for Anita, Karen or me, this is where we run every week'
Gillian Macpherson 'No flat bits so I like, excellent up and down route, very scenic.|I did 56.16, not bad considering I have man-flu. Wanted under the hour, so chuffed.
Crispian Macpherson 'Very challenging and great route, definitely worth doing, forgot to stop watch, about 43.10
Bryn Phillips 'Excellent race and very good route. When they say hilly, they mean hilly. Came in 6th with 38.17 and 1st green and white. Again well done Crewkerne for an excellent race.
Leyton Green 'Great race with some challenging hills, loved it.
Jon Crane '45 mins for a very hilly 10k, not bad for an old man with a dodgy knee
Anita Farquhar Rufus 'Lots of green and whites for the 1st Crewkerne 10k, excellent weather, still plenty of hills even without the lovely Summer Lane! Good crowd support and a nice touch of a kit bag at the finish.
Have a great week, I am still injured, so no NDV for me, so on a downer, but I will be back, at the Stur Half and probably the New Forest marathon, you can't keep an old dog down, and this one feels very OLD at the moment.
Enjoy all the club offers, see you all soon.
