Subject: New 24 Hour Solo and Team Event in Plymouth

Dear All,

We are in the early stages of organising an entertaining weekend festival of running at Newnham Park, Plympton. Called Hope24 it is a solo or relay run for teams over a 5 mile mixed trail course. Open to teams of 2, 3, 5, 6 or 8 consisting of males, females or mixed.

The event will take place on the weekend of the 10th and 11th of May 2014 and the run itself will commence at 12:00pm on the Saturday and run till 12:00 on Sunday. With camping available for competitors it is ideal for clubs/companies or friends to create a team and see how far you can run in 24 hours.

I personally took part in Endure24 recently and as part of a team of five completed 150 miles (30 miles each). There is a Facebook event page at FB Page and the website will be available soon.

Prices will start from £30 for members of teams of 6 and 8 up to £45 for solo runners. This will include medals, t-shirts and spot prizes.

All proceeds of the event will go to Hope for Children, the charity the organising team are raising funds for as part of their Marathon des Sables 2014 challenge (Team Hope). In addition, our event sponsors Buff will provide bespoke Hope24 event Buffs which will be given free to any person raising over £100 in sponsorship for Hope for Children.

If anyone is interested please either email myself or join the FB event page and leave a comment as to whether you are interested as a team or solo. This will assist us in gauging interest and planning for event needs.

Also please spread the word around other companies, friends and clubs, to help make this event a success in the South West.

Finally, if anyone has access to event hire equipment, catering etc, we are interested in speaking to local companies about supporting this event, this is a charity event and not for profit.

Kindest regards.
