Bank Holiday Blog Bonanza!

Ash Excellent Eight - September 1st 2013 at 11:00
This Sunday is the Ash Excellent Eight with Adam Hawkins as your race director.
The event is being held at Ash Primary School, Ash (near Martock), Somerset, TA12 6NS
This is an approximately 8mi multi-terrain race through country lanes, rough tracks, gates, hills, fields and beautiful Somerset Countryside.
There is also a choice to do the Fearsome Five which is a shorter 4.5mi race.
3K Junior Race (11-16years) and a 2k Village Fun Run for all ages.

Before I get onto this weekend's races I just want to make you aware of what's coming up this week as there are a few changes to the norm. The Tuesday night Club Run will be at Goldenstones as Yeovil are playing at home. There will also be NO Sunday Long Run due to a club hosted event. Matt Driver is hosting this weeks Pub Run from Lime Tree at Thornford. If you want to run yourself silly at the end of the working week, you can always try out the Speed Training on Fridays. If you can't be without your long run why not try at the Saturday Group opposite the football club, can't guarantee tea and cake! YTRRC Calendar August

Baltonsbourgh 5 mile - Another great turn out by the green and whites. Without any results to hand I think Pete Jakeman was first over the line in a time under 35mins. Followed shortly by Paul Roadnight and Adam Underdown. I then witness pure Bank Holiday brilliantness thanks to Brian Mountjoy-Row who was the only one to thank the marshals whilst running, that I could see. Great to see the appreciations whilst wearing club colours. Well done to all who took part. Full race results to come when published.
