An amazing day in Devon, as hard as ever, and I reckon
harder than last year despite the weather. Massive well done to the organisers
and the fantastic marshal’s! Never, ever again, until next year!
All the results are here
Anita sent this in, it was a great day last year, be part of it..
The 26th Bristol half marathon will take place on Sunday 21st September 2014
Last year the club had an excellent turnout of 'Green and Whites' running the course, as we block booked place we all got a great discount on the entry fee.
Individual cost £33 + £3 processing fee
BUT, if we have 10 places we each pay £24.75p or for 15 places it's £23.10p and for 20+ places a measley £21.45p
So, if you could let me know if you'd like to come along please write your name under this post by the end of March then we can get the ball rolling.
We will also be running the coach again (£10 per seat) but will deal with that later on
If Not on FB e mail me on terry.byrne@royalcanin.com and I will pass on details
Last week was also the Great Western, Lesley says thanks to all who helped
This week Guy, Pete and Paul (who else?) Ran the Barcelona
Marathon, great to see you back running Guy!
Guy said First run
after 4 weeks off with my foot apart from Thurs Pub run an epic 4.7 mile run in
the fog, Barcelona Marathon with Paul Allen and Peter Jakeman. With no training
it was hard, slow and hot but injury free. Great to be running again, bring on
London.

The Registration documents came out to us lucky enough to be
running the London Marathon this year in the famous Green and White.
Anita summed it up very well on FB..
My 'Marathon News
magazine for the London Marathon' arrived in the post today with the details of
how to register!! I would just like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the best club
around for giving me the honour of representing them in London. I'm far from
the fastest or best runner in the club but I was lucky enough to get one of the
3 club ballot places. That's what I love about YTRRC it's all inclusive.
Agree 100%!
Diet and Fitness from Real Buzz
From James Day
I decided to go
and do something a bit different. My own long run but still wearing that
cherished green and white vest. I ran my first Ultra Marathon along the Imber Range Perimeter Path.
A total of 32.25mi in a time of 6hrs 12mins. A thoroughly enjoyable day in great weather. A day of ups and downs in more way than one, emotionally and physically. Some of the hills along with the terrain was challenging. With a smile (grimace), and 32.25mi on the Garmin I crossed the finish line.
My proudest moment yet whilst wearing a YTRRC vest. Well done also to Judith Wilson another YTRRC runner who finished in a time of 6hrs 30mins. Time to put my feet up now, or the pub!
Nice one James
