Done thank god, it was hot but I love the pain after.
From Matt
Good to see Terry Byrne and Anita at the start, Bungy Williams and Rose Harvey during the race. Oh and Mo of course, but he was going the other way... I can't believe how fast those guys go!
From Bryn, stuck in Afgan
Well done to all you marathoners yesterday, Fabulous running in hot conditions from the look of it. Only 2-3 weeks left out here, and then back to normality. - Be good to have you back Bryn
From Andrew
Well done to all London Marathoners today - fantastic ! Did anyone spot Green and whites on telly? I saw Terry approaching the finish line and looking quite fresh (I was far from fresh)
From Mr Marathon, Paul
Well done all YTRRC runners today at London - good times all round by the look of it. Didn't think Rob Jones was running so good to see him get round and a sub 4:30 by Lynne Thumpston

And from Martin to finish off for this week....
It's not like there are any other
(36,000+runners) races taking place this weekend...
Remember there is the Hash at Montacute House this Friday, 18th April - 11am - with beer and hot cross bun stops! Tell Martin if you're coming - 07929 054576 /martinchaffey@Hotmail.co.uk

Parkrun
It was good to see 130 runners turn out today in what were ideal running conditions, with 51 runners recording new Personal Bests. There were 14 Club members out this week - and 29 first timers enjoying the free 5km parkrun – hope you all enjoyed it guys, and will be back again! One of the first timers was Yeovil Town Road Runner Babs Cook who for the past week has been excited at the prospect of running here – and finished in a very respectable 36m07.
The Biss boys led from start to finish, with dad Neil (18m54) finishing first across the line ahead of elder son Michael (19m23) in a family affair; little brother George also ran, finishing in 27m43 (but more importantly he was wearing in Dad’s red racing shoes for him!), and to complete the set, Mum Aime was manning the finish scanners! Stu Cobb third to finish in 19m26 – perhaps he ought to think about changing his name to Biss for next week!.
On a day for family running, Richard Boulter turned from last week’s marshal, via a 3hr14m18, Male Veteran 60 prize winning run at Taunton Marathon to Grandad pacer as he took grandson George Hill round in 26m46 – not only beating George’s Mum Alexia Hill (27m59), but beating Mum’s PB by 2 seconds in the process! Lyndsay Wasiewicz ran a PB of 28m52 but showed daughter Beth Wasiewicz (29m52) a clean pair of heels; perhaps it’s flatter at the Manchester parkrun where Beth normally runs?!
If you are reading this thinking about coming to try our Montacute course, I would recommend it – the gardens look really nice in the Spring sunshine, the horse swings need to be seen (and tried!) and there is a really nice atmosphere amongst the runners who have started staying on for a post-run coffee in the Courtyard CafĂ© (the highlight of a Saturday as far as my children are concerned!). Today’s Run Director will vouch for how good the Bacon sandwiches are afterwards!
That's it everyone, after a special weekend, for Rod and Rose, a weekend they will always remember, and for all who were there and took part in the Marathon, memories you can not take away, London did us proud, and Yeovil Town Road Running Club did London proud...
See you all soon
Terry
