Jack and Jill went up the Hill, so Guy and Paul went to Prague

6.30pm 5k Club Championship Run (all finishers, who complete the 5k & attend the AGM can enter the free  prize draw at AGM)
Or an alternative 5 Mile Club Run (no entry to prize draw)

7.30pm (Sausage Chips and vegetarian option provided!)

8 pm AGM Starts (prompt)

With our club being in a strong Services area I wondered if anyone would be interested in this, Martin sent it to me.

September  7th , 2014                   



 Come to ALBERT (80300 France)  and take part in the

           10th races   of the  Poppy Country         
   

Here are  a few events: 

 Sports events:

             “Mara-Trail” (42,195 km of dirt tracks)
              Half Marathon (road race)
              10 Km; 5 Km, and races for children (400m;800m)
             11 km of leisure  walk

   Memorial event :
         you will run through the  Circuit of Remembrance (you run into the Somme 1916 Museum which is set in an underground tunnel , through the Franco-British Memorial of Thiepval, past  the Ulster Tower and the Beaumont-Hamel Newfondland Memorialyou will run under the railway through a tunnel that soldiers used to join the front and you will finally cross a river…)

Festive event  :

Enjoyment, music and meals at the “Velodrome Stadium”

 Charity event :
         Money will be collected for the Association “Autisme Picardie 80”

Kevin Stenner and Darrell Sheen were flying the club flag at the Bristol 10k on Sunday. They say it was a good fast race.

At the weekend Paul and Guy went to Prague, Paul running his 149th Marathon, and Guy completing number 15!
