A few bits before the weekend. I hope all you racers from last weekend are recovering well.
I have had this in from Pete, please e mail me on terrybyrne32767@gmail.com or terry.byrne@royalcanin.com if interested and I will pass on to Pete or contact Pete yourself.
Any interest and we can pass on to SASP.
I have had this in from SASP:
I was just wondering if yourself and others from the Yeovil Running club fancied entering a team in to our Rounders Social Summer League? It is being held at Bucklers Mead Leisure Centre in Yeovil? It’s on Thursday nights, 6.30 – 8.30pm. minimum of 6 players max of 15. 9 people can play at one time. Good sprinting session |
Best regards

Dear Terry
On Sunday 4th May I ran the Scunthorpe half
marathon in 1:47:38. The winner was Jason Cherriman of Leeds City AC in
1:10:36.
Extremely enjoyable and well organised race and
the course was completely flat. In the circumstances I should have done
better!
Best wishes
Malcolm

Last year you
were with us for the Marwell 10K Road Race.
As you may
already know, that race is not taking place this year but we have entered into
partnership with Wyvern College to organise the
WYVERN 10K
2014 – Sunday 13th July 2014 @ 10:00am
The Wyvern
10K was first run in 2012. The vision was to establish an Olympic Legacy Event
that would promote running in the Fair Oak and Horton Heath area as well as
providing a summer race for runners across the southern region and beyond. We
also wanted to create an annual event that brought our community together
through organisation and participation.
Centred at
Wyvern College, the start and finish is on the tarmac running track. The road
route is an 'out and back' which will take you along various leafy lanes
within Fair Oak and Horton Heath and has definite PB potential. We also plan to
have some entertainment during and after the race for our runners and their
supporters.
Entry prices
for the race are the same as last year:
£13 for
attached UKA runners
£15 for
unattached runners.
You can find
out more information and enter via the race web page
Enter also by
the sportsystems website.

It’s the Black Death this weekend, Championship Round 6
event as is the Jack ‘n Jill Challenge
I will be running the Lymington 10km by the sea in ais of
the lifeboats, a very crowded but flat race. After a long one Saturday it will
be Slowwwwwwww……
If you are running or training, just starting back after the
marathon, or just chilling out, have a special and enjoyable weekend (in the
rain!!), see you all at the AGM on Tuesday or the 5km on Wednesday!
Terry
