Excellent Ash Sunday

Ash Sunday

Well the Sun came out and the Ash School Car Park / Playing field soon filled up with eager runners and YTRRC came out in force.

The main 8 and 5 mile race were the first off at just passed 11 followed by the 3k and fun run. It was a very good turnout for the kids and some parents found it hard to keep up with them.

The main race took the normal route down the hill around a loop and then a lovely trip back up the hill to the finish. Well done to Jo on her first race back.
YTRRC one both team awards Ladies and Men with Lesley and Nick both taking their respective age groups as well so good running all round. Mark Gosney knocked 5 mins of last years time so well done Mark.

Linda, Georgina and Lynne got there early and did a six miler before the race and then completed the Ahs 8 so well done girls the Marathon training is working. The Full results will be added to this once I get them and also on the website. A big thanks to Adam and all the staff, marshals and helpers that make these races possible.

I have made an album up of all the photographs I took and please help yourselves if you want to down load any.   Ash Eight

Courmayeur Champex Chamonix

The popular 100km Courmayeur Champex Chamonix (CCC®) race considers 5950m of altitude as

runners face the Mont-Blanc and the Grandes Jorasses before an incredible ascension with a magnificent

 view on the Mont-Blanc chain.

Well done to Darren Atyeo who has just finished the CCC, in position 834 after 23:23:53 running. Fantastic running Darren. He said "Thanks for all the messages went to bed after finishing & now just starting to feel normal but tired still amazing race and support one for your calendar!"
