Flower Arranging in Bristol

YTRRC Hits Bristol

This morning saw a coach of 50 leaving the football club with Dave the Coach driver to Bristol for the Half Marathon.

The first wave set off at 9:30 followed by the second wave at 10:00, this was a good moral boost as you ran back into Bristol and the turnaround point and looked out for the Green and White vests and shouts of encouragement or mickey taking.  Dave Tinsley was first in at 1:30:00 and first lady in was Lauren May Price in 1:33:20. There were many PB's out there today and a very emotional Katie Brooks who ran all the way round without stopping. Well done all this Club rocks.

A mention as well for Emily Walton getting 2:02:31 must be her coach. As normal it couldn't be a YTRRC with out Cake and Food and there must have been more cake on the coach than Phil has eaten this week. Well done to Anita for the organising again. Next year lets get more 13 Sept 2015.

Happy Birthday to Phil

Well the big day came on Thursday with the Podymore Inn Pub run followed by food and Hazels Cake. This is what Phil thought was his only Birthday Party but little did he know that the Flower Arranging was in the planning and the whole club was in on it apart from him.

Well done Hazel

Friday was the main event and it worked well with all of us at the Club bar in the dark waiting for Phil to turn up. The Football Club rang Phil to say the Trl had been broken into and ask Phil to get the the Ground to watch the CCTV of the so called theft. It worked a treat and as Fiona said "To say Phil MacQuaid was surprised is an understatement! Mission accomplished." As he walked through the door he was speechless for about 2 minutes.
Mission Accomplished

The evening was a great success and well deserved for a Man that does so much for the club, thanks to all that helped make it work. I have lost count on the number of Cakes Phils has had but these two were soon eaten.
Thanks to Fiona, Sean and Catherine

The Club members got Phila Jug and a bottle of Pimms to put in it.

The Jug can be seen better here, it was soon empty I believe not sure who by though.

A final message from Phil:

"What Can I say. I'm still totally overwhelmed that to-gether you all managed to get me back. I' so proud to be friends with all the members of the most fantastic club in the world. Thank you everybody for something that I will remember for the rest of my life
I love you all"

This in from Adam.
