Ninesprings Club Race

Well done to all that helped in the Ninesprings 9k ish race, the weather was not great but not as bad as it could have been. The Club set up HQ at Goldenstones and entries were around 70 pre registered but soon there were people signing up for both the Fun Run and the 9k. It must also be remembered that this Race is not just about the Running but the St Margaret's Hospice where all the Race entry goes.  

I say Fun Run but it is not, it is very serious and the effort put in by the kids is great to see.

No race would be the same with a good brief to all the Marshalls and a telling off if you tried to speak when Pete was talking.

Before the mad rush

The 9k Race saw 113 runners at the start line for the two lap course and with the slight rain in was going to be a tiny bit muddy.

There were plenty of supporters out on Ninesprings as the runners ran past the Swimming Pool and the Finish line for the first time.

The results were First YTRRC Male Gary Stickley and First Female was Sarah Trimm (also 2nd FV35) so well done both of you. The full results can be seen here. The photographs can be found here.

Edinburgh Marathon

Andy Brown made his way up to the North Pole for the Edinburgh Marathon and managed 5:12:18. I am guessing this as it is the only Andrew Brown in the results. 

Taunton Tri

Well done to Debbie Keeble and Elizabeth Diamond on the Taunton Tri an excellent effort from both of you. Debbie is now no longer  just a runner but also a triathlete.

5.Sunday Long Runs are from Montacute at 9:00 am 7th June
