A Busy Two Weeks

Bath Two Tunnels Half and Marathon

Today saw a few Green and White's head to Bath for the the above event. There was also a 10k, 5k and a Colour run for the kids.

The hardest part was picking your number up with two waves and a few more to get your number and then you had a choice of Medal 2,3 or 4. Confused well it was a bit strange.

No doubt about the star of the race, Nikki came in first lady had had a great race and thought she was going to overtake me as I had to eat at the aid stations. Lesley then came in 1st in her age group (Vet 45 I think). So well done girls excellent running and the boys need to up their game. Sadly no photographs yet but they should appear on Facebook soon.

Well done to Katrina who ran the half, she has had an amazing year so far with 12 half marathons now I think. A great achievement.

Hangers Heros

From Lesley:

Helen, Richard & I did the Hangers Heroes Marathon last Saturday in a leisurely unofficial time of 05:56:55, although our moving time was just over 05:10 ish, so spent too much time deliberating over the maps and at the water stations! The Full results can be seen here.

Doone 10 Miles

Adam raced the Doone 10 and said:

Incredible beautiful but very tough 10 mile run. First [and only] YTRRC runner!!

Langport Triathlon

Jo and Debbie ran to Langport the do the Langport Triathlon, it was touch and go as it took ages for Jo to nick the Postmans bike. Well done girls good effort.

Jo had to paint the bike as it was red

Sprint Finish

First place so no time to get trainers on...

Medals and goodie bag

Camelot Challenge

Saturday saw the Camelot Challenge and a few brave YTRRC runners took the challenge.

I have email them for the results and still waiting.

Town Tree Trail Race

Presentation of cheque for £500 to Chris Burnett towards the upkeep of the beautiful Town Tree Nature Garden and Trail. The money was raised in this year's Ash Town Tree Trail Race.

Tallinn Marathon

On Sunday 13th Sept Paul Allen, Peter Jakeman and I went out to Estonia to run the Tallinn Marathon. A lovely City and also a nice flat course with  two laps, the weather was great maybe a bit to hot but really enjoyed the race and company around the course. With Jane Allen as the support team and photographer.

Before the Start
Pete had a great run and came in as the 1st Vet 65 so another Country to his belt, well done Pete, Palma next and revenge on the Polish Plumber.

Soon to be Vet 65 of Europe

New Forest Marathon and Half

Chris and Katrina headed down to Hampshire for the above races, both had a good run so well done and good runing.

Picture is from Tenby and not New Forest

Thames Meander

This in from Jo:

Thames Meander Marathon Update:
You will need to enter the race individually:http://www.hermesrunning.com/…/thames-meander-half-full-tr…/

If you want to stay up over night on the Friday, we used the Travel Lodge last year: https://www.travelodge.co.uk/…/London-Kingston-Upon-Thames-…

I have booked a room for 2 nights so if anyone wants to use it after the race to shower & change, just let me know.
I will keep an eye on the train prices & as soon as I see the best prices I will let you know. I will also sort out somewhere for us to eat a little nearer the time.
Any questions, please give me a shout!

Bristol Half

Sunday saw the Club Trip to the Bristol Half Marathon with Anita organising the discount and also the coach, so well done and same again next year.

We had 38 runners from the Club so well done to us and all those that supported and ran the race.
First YTRRC male was Simon who managed a great time of 1:24 and our first lady was Nikki Guive in 1:38 after a sprint finish and just managed to pip Katie Brooks, so well done to both of you.

Before the off

Weymouth Half

Caroline Watts travelled down to Weymouth for their Half, a nice T-Shirt and Bling. Well done Caroline.
