Ash Races
Today saw our own Ash Excellent Eight and Fearsome Five and it is also one of our Championship Races so point were up for grabs. Still waiting for the results to be sent to me so will add them when I get them but well dome to all the helpers and marshals and to Adam.
Cardiff 10k
Bryn went to Cardiff for the Navy and posted:
Had a great day out in the Welsh capital, Cardiff, for the Cardiff 10k. Ran it as part of the Royal Navy team in the Corporate Business Challenge. Ran an even paced race gaining a new 10k PB of 34:16, and we won the team prize too.
The Bridgewater Half and 10k
Some of the Club went to Bridgewater for the 10k and Half Marathon and some great times were had by Simon and Helen in the Half and Tom and Kaz in the 10k.
The Black Hugin
Saturday saw Paul Allen and I set of for a different type of marathon, a race that started at 4pm and you ran round a lap of 3.2 miles for 6 hours or until you wanted to stop. Our plan was to do 9 laps around 30 miles but after a small All Day Breakfast there was not enough energy and the bar and food at the Pem Inn was shutting at 10pm so we stuck to the Marathon distance and came joint first.
