New Forest Marathon

Hot New Forest Marathon yesterday. Luke Hicksgot a season PB 4:29:01 and I was 5 mins off the 5hrs I was pacing for due to sugar issues. Hoping for cooler weather next week for Richmond. Chris Woodman was about 5 mins behind me, struggling with knee issues. Must have walked straight past us so missed the photo AND the cake!

There were a few Green and Whites at the Chard Chase on Sunday for a bit of dancing.

Hangers Hero's Marathon

Saturday saw the Hangers Hero's Half and Marathon at Bagwell Caravan Park, the route is a big loop from Chickerell to Abbotsbury to Hardy's Monument to Upwey and home. The Club had a few runners taking part in the marathon, sadly the Sun was not going to come out and the rain came down with the fog. On the high ground the viz was down to about 50 meters and this spolt the lovely views. 

The results were Paul Allen and I joint first for the Club and Lynne was our first lady. This is a great local event, great value, good course and 95% of the money goes to local charities. WIth a half option as well more of the Club need to give this a go next year, you will love it.
