Not much to report this week. While Terry has been sunning himself I've tried to keep abreast of the YTRRC headlines to no avail. The best I can do is refer you to what I've gathered from the YTRRC facebook group...
The Ash TreeTown Tree Tree Trail race with Trees (or whatever its called) apparently went very well with Paul Rose taking the win for us in the men's race, while Rachel Clay pipped Rose Harvey to the best of YTRRC ladies, but not good enough for the ladies win. Come on girls, can't have other clubs winning (and she was the same age group as you two)!
From all reports it was a good race with excellent organisation so well done to Adam Hawkins and his team.
Judging by some photos, I think the majority of us are glad we didn't do this Hash run this weekend...all very dodgy! However, everyone is smiling so it can't be all bad!
Chrispian MacPherson did his first Triathlon and was 23rd at Crewkerne, so well done to him!
Jon "Oh, I've got a dodgy knee" Crane has overcome his injury worries to run a pb at Portland this morning. Admittedly it was his first 10 miler, but they all count! There were eight of us all told, and I think everyone enjoyed the dash down to the lighthouse, but not so much the struggle back up. Funnily enough I happened to be there too and managed a 3 minute course pb to finish 16th and first Yeovil! So now I'm going to go on and on and on about ME! ME! ME!
OK...that will do!
Next week sees the following
- All of us at the football club for the club run on Tuesday
- the TinTinTen at Tintinhull, Wednesday 4th July, 7pm
- Next Wednesday is the Club 5K at Yeovilton and we need help to organise, marshall, set up, and put away (even if you are running, get there early and lend a hand)
Good running
Matt
