The Wessex Cross Country
Posted by Nigel
Huge congratulations to Tim and team - Pete in particular should be "named" (see below) - for putting on an excellent Ham Hill X Country event in the Wessex League.
Pete - the risk assessment must have taken hours!
Excellent course, excellent marshals and first class atmosphere - all accomplished quietly and highly competently.
From Tim
A very big thanks to all that helped today at the hamhill cross country. Without all my merry men/women things wouldn't have worked out so well. I'm so happy to be part of a wonderful team. Next month i intend to win at sailsbury and that victory will be inspired by such a great team. You all must turnout and see how a skinny dog runs. Get in!!
And from Lee
Thanks to all involved, particularly Marshals who I couldn't thank at the time.....just too pained! Definitely the toughest of the series by some way, well done all.
As Always the team from the club come up trumps, super club, super team, super members!

Crispian and Terry made their way to Thruxton Race Circuit for the Mass Attach Duathlon, 8 times round there on a bike is tough. Cris had a great race despite a bit of a cock up in transition! I was happy as I had not ridden for weeks and it was a tough race!. My first run was good, 2nd run was a complete pig! Our positions would have been better but we KNOW some only did 7 laps on the bike instead of 8, only cheated themselves! Enjoyable though!
From Richard
I am happy to report I beat Steve of axe valley in our little challenge at the Exmoor Stagger today it all started last year when I beat him to a sprint finish at the Stagger,
Nice one Richard
