The Dinner, WOW!! What a night!!!

First things first........... Phil and Pete, the Yeovil Towns RRC Super Pair, ably supported by Mr Nick Brooke, After Dinner Speaker extraordinaire! Thank You!

Superbly organised, brilliantly executed, good food, super presentation and THAT after dinner speech, those who were not there, eat your hearts out, you missed a special night.

If you did not hear the Chairman's speech, it will be out on a YTRRC Dodgy Enterprises DVD, a limited edition of 250 copies, available to the highest bidders with a reserve price of £1,000!! If you can't afford it, you will have to be there next year, you can hear the next one in 2013 for about £15, don't miss, its worth reserving your seat now!

There was glitz, glamour, sophistication, there were laughs, there was great company, stories of the season, awards to put the Oscars to shame, there was dancing to put Strictly in the shade, James, what can I say? Extraordinary!

Matt said 'Great night last night, well done Phil for arranging. Just shows what mad nutters we have (Phil MacQuaid-anyway, Nick Brooke-Mad speech, James Day-Dancing, etc.etc.). And all that chat about what to wear! Those ladies certainly know how to dress up, some real sparkling eye-catchers!!!'

Male Veteran of the Year - Terry Byrne

Performance of the year, for Completing the 145 mile Ultra Canal run, Nigel Moysey, this was on top of the 84 miles from Yeovil to Swindon with Nick and Simon Barker. A very well deserved and earned award..

168 Miles between them from Yeovil to Swindon, Nick and Nigel.

And the Chairman's Award, for their participation with the club and fantastic support of the Children's races at Yeovilton. the winners were Cris and Gill MacPherson.

And Cris did not bring his new bike, he bravely left it at home all alone and then rushed off early to make sure it was ok...

And last but not least, the Chairman's Lady Award deservedly awarded to Lynne Thumpstone for all the work she does for the club.

And that was the end of the awards, before the dancing could start we had the chorus lines... First of all, the Mini Slammers...

And so the dancing commenced, the drinking continued, and what happened next at Yeovil Town's Huish Park stays at Yeovil Town's Huish Park...

The girls looked great, the boys did not scrub up to bad, and we all knew, if there was ever any doubt, we all run for one tremendous running club, and we are all winners just by being members...

Yeovil Town Road Running Club, probably the BEST Running Club in the World...
