The 'Monty'

Hi again all...

Short and sweet today, it was Monty Sunday, the infamous Full Monty'cute', 10 miles of hills and mud. Results I know about, Paul Rose, 1st Vet, Mixed team, 1st, I think Rose, Rachel, Mark and Paul, now that is some team, Mark Wills, 3rd Male, Rachel 2nd FV 35, still pretty gutted to have been pipped to the V35 post by the headmaster's wife.

Lesley sent 'Well done again YTRRC. As well as the team prize, there were also individual prizes for Richard Boulter, Paul Rose, Mark Wills, Rachel Clay - hope I haven't missed anyone. Well done all. Great race, ideal weather, even tho wet & muddy in places. Not sure what Richards award was for, but well done!

Gutted I could not be there due to injury, But Cris stood in and enjoyed the mud and hills.

A post from Richard Dodge 'The full monty-cute. comment of the day " I would rather give birth than run the Monty again " It sums the run up in one sentence (10 hills and lots of mud) by the way this was said from a YTRRC lady runner not me . Now we can eat the puddies.

Just in this minute from Richard Boulter...(17:40)

Lots of Yeovil Runners at the Monty today, also with lots of success stories!
My contribution was running the race for the 9th time, finished the lowest position ever finished (though not seen the results yet so not exactly sure where). Finally came away with the 1st vet 50 prize which was the target after coming 2nd or 3rd 5 times!
As usual a superbly organised event that ran like clockwork.
I live very near the course & a week ago the course was a real challenge to get round due to the debris from gales & mud but 1 week on and the course had been cleared considerably & the mud was not a problem in comparison – either still frozen or dried up.
Well done to all the green & whites & extra well done for winning the team prize.
