Pub Run News and some bits

Hi All

You are being spoilt this week, here is some more...

Important information regarding this Thursdays (17/01) Pub Rub from James

I have been un-able to contact Woods Wine Bar to organise a table and so on. Therefore this Thursdays Pub Run will be from MODELLO'S in Yeovil. I have been able to book a table at Modello's so that is all sorted. If you don't know where Modello's is, it used to be where Chicago Rock Cafe was. For those of you driving I would recommend parking in Stars Lane. I think it is free parking after 18:00hrs but please don't take my word for it. Modello's @ 18:30 on the 17/01

The Swindon - Yeovil match has been re-arranged for Tuesday 19th March at 19:45 for showing by Sky TV. News of new arrangements for the run will be on the blog and the web site as soon as possible, watch this space and follow the blog
Bungy posted this on Facebook,
As you now know that the Yeovil v Swindon game has moved to the Evening of Tues 19th March so Sky Sports can film us running onto the pitch. This will mean leaving Yeovil sometime late Monday Evening so we can get to Swindon to start running by Midnight to get back to Yeovil by 7: 00 PM on Tuesday Evening.

How many people can still make it so we can get an idea on numbers?
 P
lease let Sally, Debs, Phil or any committee member know at the club night if you still want to go.

Entries for the Honiton Hippo on Sunday April 14th are now open. This is a 7 mile race, hilly, muddy and wet (two wallows and two river crossings) but hugely enjoyable.

There is also the 5K Junior run with medals and category prizes also involving a river crossing

Full details,  photos and entry form, including online entry available here:

Details of the 10k race and fun run taking place on Saturday 16 March (late afternoon) in South Devon. It’s a family friendly event, loads of parking and a stunning route that skirts the Mill Pond at Stoke Gabriel. If you are interested in entering, entry on race day is available or online entries can be made here:

I have received this from the British Red Cross

Hello,

Happy New Year! Now is the time for you and the members of your running club to make 2013 the year you take on the challenge you’ve been putting off for years.

This year the British Red Cross has got loads of running challenge events available for all abilities, including UK Marathons (from Edinburgh to Brighton and several in between), half marathons, 10km races and even marathons abroad including one of the biggest and most popular, the Paris Marathon.

Every year hundreds of people join Red Cross and take on a running challenge, some are taking on a challenge for the first time, others are looking for a personal best but they all provide valuable support for the work of the British Red Cross.

The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies. We have many services working here in Somerset including emergency response, home from hospital care and transport and escort.

I have attached a leaflet on some of our top running events or you can visit Red Cross Runs  for the full list of exciting 2013 opportunities.

Do feel free to get in touch with any questions about our events. If you don't feel able to sign up this year please forward this information to someone who might or let me know if you would like information on our events posting to you.

Look forward to hearing from you soon
