The Long Training Runs Hit the Streets

Notices

Now that the Half and Full Marathon season is full swing the long runs are happening so if you need to get one in then ask at Club nights or post on Facebook. You are sure to find a pace that helps. This includes Sat and Sun runs and midweek.

As mentioned last week we need more Pub run's to be organised by you the Club members. Please come forward they are easy to sort out and you can ask Phil for help.

Matt Driver posted about an event down in the darkest parts of Devon:

The madness of running cross country in the dark is happening again...YTRRC already have some mad fools signed up. Join us if you dare, choice of 10 miles, or 5 miles. Next race Saturday evening 31st of January - so hurry!

For the details see the website by clicking here. The Wild Night Run

The Longleat 10 k next week has a load of Green and Whites going and Kat posted:

To all those doing Longleat 10k next Sunday, I have been in touch with organisers about the entry packs. They are on there way, but apologised for slight delay as race numbers went to the wrong address and had to be retrieved.

Paul Allen and I went down to Kent for a Double Marathon on the Sat and Sun and I have to say this is what a goodie bag should look like, one each day. You need the 53 miles to lose the calories.

Day Two

YTRRC Hit North Devon

Steph went back home to Run the 10 miler she posted:

"Excellent race put on by North Devon running club in Braunton today. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a 10 miler next year!! Two disgustingly steep hills meaning that my mile times ranged between 7:55 to 11:30 but great cakes at the end! And you get a cool tshirt. Hope everyone's enjoyed their Sunday running."
