Night Time in Brent Knoll????
Some YTRRC made for the Dark Side again for "The Wild Night Run".
Just
Richard Dodge, Richard Howes, Matt Driver and Rob Jones this time. Various cut
thumbs and a wife going to hospital, but nothing to stop our YTRRC Dark
Knights. At the Dartmoor village of South Brent, or was it South Molton, or
Brent Knoll, or...anyway, we had a 5:30 start just as it got dark and began
hailing.
A steep road start to sort everybody into order before
diving off road and across muddy tracks and rivers. We ran through the rain
line, and then into the snow with a biting wind and flakes making your eyes
sting. Matt’s decision to wear shorts wasn't the greatest idea!
Longleat 10k
YTRRC hit Longleat in force today for the 10k race. They all seemed to have a great morning and the Medal was fitting for the location. The results can be seen here.
Well done to Simon Rayner as first YTRRC Male and Helen Nesbitt as first Female.

Normal Tea and Cakes at the end |
This in from Jo Henley:
1st February & medal number 3. They weren't wrong with the undulating bit. Freezing cold as well but loved it. Thank you all YTRRC for making it a great day, even those who did not quite make it for the race & Katie Brooks for fighting off the lions for us!
Blackmore Vale Half
Well done to all the runners that turned for the Blackmore Vale Half, it was sunny but the wind factor made it cold waiting for the off for the sprint down the hill and an hour or so later the long slog back up it. well over 500 runners took part and also a Fun run so it's good that a local Race is still popular and also for Charity. The results can be seen here..

Club Tenpin Bowling
Katie Brooks organised the Tenpin Bowling on Friday night, I couldn't make it but looking at the blurred photographs it seems the organised photographer had to many to drink and was last seen heading for a taxi with a kabab.
There were two lanes booked I was told, one lane was for the serious players like Richard Blackmore who was seen polishing his balls before the game started and even brought his own Balls.
The other lane was for the beginner who didn't grasp how to propel the ball down the lane facing forward so faced away and threw the ball between her legs for a Strike and then decided to chuck the ball over her head and also managed a strike but sadly not on the Lane she was in. A letter of apology has been sent to the Cinema. I will not mention her name (KAW).
They then went to Woods Wine Bar for the stupid face pulling competition until the early hours of the morning.
Well done to Katie for organising this and looking forward to the Quiz Night on the 28th Feb so get your teams sorted and let Katie know. It is at the Great Lyde starting at 7:30pm.
