The Welsh Marathon and Half Marathon
Three YTRRC runners travelled the 170 miles to the lovely Seaside town of Dinbych-y-pysgod (AKA Tenby). It is a hilly Marathon and the last day in the Long Course Weekend with a swim on Fri the Bike Ride saturday and the Half or Full Marathon on the Saturday. Chris Woodham and I did the Full and Kat Harris did the half.
Anyone training for an Ironman this is the weekend training for you and the link is here.
Quantock Beast
The Quantock beast is another Club Champ race, a nice flat course in the Quantocks Flats.
Well done to the three YTRRC runners that made the start line.
No results are out yet but first place goes to the Cone.
Portland 10
Sunday saw two Champ races one at Portland and the other at the Quantock Beast. Portland is a 10 miler and those going for the Super Slam Hat need a 10 miler so there are always a few Green and Whites at the Race.
Well done to Mark Gosney, first male and Denham Melanie, first female Full results can be seen here.
Charmouth Challenge
Saturday saw the Charmouth Challenge with Champ points available.
Well done to Nathan Gardiner, first male and Helen Nesbitt, first female and all the other YTRRC runners, sounds like a good course.
Notices
Parrot Trail time will be here again soon, if you can try to get a team together and then let Matt Driver know. If you have any of the legs on your Garmin then can you post the route so we have all the legs?
Ham to Lyme is this Saturday, the lying weather forecast is that it should be a hot one, see you at the start line and the Fish and Chip shop at Lyme.
Start thinking about the Awards night and nominations, a long way off but we need more people to vote.
Over the next few weeks a list of members will be published on the website, only your name will be published and no other details. There are still a few out there running races under the YTRRC colours and have not paid their membership fees. Also you have had to be a member by the AGM to qualify for the VMLM places the Club gets.
