London, Southampton and Blackpool

The London Marathon (one way round or the other).

Sunday saw the famous London Marathon and Yeovil Town RRC had 15 runners taking part. The first Green and White over the line was Bryn Phillips and our first lady was Lauren Price who both had PB's. Well done to Lewis who managed a Sub 3:00 as well. The results are out and can be found here.

Whilst we were running around London the rest of the Club were tracking us and posting when we were spotted crossing the line with the odd photograph.

There were also some supporters in the crowd and somehow we could hear them over all the supporters out here, they included Kate and John Hayden, Helen Nesbitt and family and photographer of the Year Jane Allen.

Also out there were four Green and Whites who did not get into the Race so decided to run the Course in reverse, so from the Finish Line to the Start line.

From Anita:

Myself. Catherine, Luke and Richard D didn't get into the London Marathon by day so we decided to go and run it from the finish line to the start instead. We set off at 2.00 am. A great time and definitely different!!

Don't forget the Ballot opens next Monday for 5 days and closes on the Friday.

Southampton Half Marathon

Trevor Strelley completed the Southampton Half on Sunday and managed a 2:05 saying he was happy considering the hills. Nice running Trev.

Blackpool Marathon

With the mix up with a London place Georgina Brice decided to enter the Blackpool Marathon and managed a PB. Well done.

Wahoo, that's Blackpool Marathon done in an unofficial time of 4:43 which is a PB by 12 minutes, so pleased :-))

Hi there,
Please can you put the Camelot Challenge on your race calendar for 2016. We have 15 free place available this year for YTRC members as Matt driver was kind enough to help us lay the course last year.
If any of your members would like to take up one of these places please can they email me on camelrace@hotmail.co.uk, first come first serves.
The race is run under UKA rules and has been granted a licence for this years event.
If there is anything else you need please let me know

3. The next Championship Race is Sun 1st May 10k Glastonbury (SS) 11.00 am  

4. North Dorset Villages Marathon so the Sunday Run will be from Stalbridge Library Car Park Station Rd,DT10 2RG. to support the marathon runners
