Well off we went to Portsmouth for the great south run it was very sunny not like Weymouth! Joanna Henley sprinted home in 1.21 she was happy cause she passed both Trevors (Trevor strelley and Trevor Stow) enroute, Debbie Keeble tried to keep up with Elizabeth Diamond but had to walk through the dockyard to admire the ships Liz finished in 2.04 followed by Debbie who was just glad to finish! No one injured or strapped up here. Now off for a curry well earned.
There was also a 5k on the Saturday that Liz completed in.
Weymouth 10
Egdon Heath hosted the Weymouth 10 and with those aiming for their Hats it is one of the last 10 milers of our year. we had a fair few Green and Whites there with Matt Driver first over the line and Kate Ronaldson our first lady. The full results can be seen here.
Matt's Story:
Dark but a quiet morning, so off we trot to Weymouth for their annual 10 mile race along the sea-front. Its not as flat as it sounds with a two lap loop round Bowleaze with the hill twice!
Who was there? Matt with thigh and calf injuries, Kat Hurford with a dodgy...well she was injured too, Stephen Warren with a massively strapped knee, all running for a damn hat! Lyndsay Wasiewicz was also there and two old geezers Malcolm Maxted and Brian Mountjoy-Row.
Target times were swapped and the race began with a stiff breeze in the face for two miles, and up the hill for the first time. A little respite round the caravan park with excellent marshalls all the way. Lap two came and went as people warmed up in the Autumn sun, and then a blast back along the prom!.
Matt just ducked 80 mins so he was happy, Malcolm beat Brian so Malcolm was happy, Brian won the 70+ age group so was also happy, Steve beat the 1:30 he was trying for by five minutes - happy again, Kat beat two hours by nearly twenty minutes so she was happy, and Lyndsay was happy just to finish - which she did in style and was happy.
Also running was Taryn Monks and Kate Ronaldson who were down as YTRRC runners, so I hope they were happy too!!!
Exmoor Stagger and Stumble
With the last few points up for grabs before the Championship races finish we had a few Green and Whites at these races. Nothing to report as no one has sent me anything but the results we at some stage be found here.

Bilbao Night Marathon
From Catherine:
Luke and I completed the Bilbao night marathon Saturday night. Luke did it in around 4:30-something and I came in about 5:11. As there were no taxis we walked/hobbled the 5k uphill journey back to our apartment. The Results can be seen here.

Hats
“It's that time of the year again to let me know if you have earned a slam hat this year. I just need the name, date and completed times of the relevant races. Either via email (lesley.218@hotmail.co.uk) or FB. Ideally, within the next week or so. I know some of you are doing Wimborne 10, in which case let me know the other races now and Wimborne when you've completed it.”
Thanks
Lesley
